We are looking for a therapist in Massage. PRIMORA SPA wants Individuals who are passionate about a holistic vision of skin and body care, connecting with the customer on a personal level and presenting in a professional manner. Our ideal candidate must be able to understand a client’s requests, assess their body requirements/limitations, and help them feel comfortable while encouraging them to return for additional treatments. Looking for individuals who have full-time availability, including weekends and evenings.

You should be familiar with various massage services that can help reduce pain and stress, such as deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology, shiatsu, and lymphatic drainage massage.

Flexible Part-time Schedule – Typically 20 hours/week, including weekend hours

Compensation

Compensation for this position will be guaranteed at the Waiting Time Rate for all scheduled hours. Employee will be compensated at the Productive Rate for time providing services for customers. The WellnessLiving platform will track all hours and services provided.

  • Waiting Time (Non-Service Delivery): $15.00/hr
    Therapists are compensated at the Waiting Time rate for all non-productive, non-service-delivery time during their scheduled shift, including time spent waiting for clients.
  • Productive Time (Service Delivery): $30.00/hr
    Therapists are compensated at the Productive Time rate for time delivering service to clients as identified by the description of the duration for each service.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Waiting Time (Non-Service Delivery)
    • Greet and provide customer orientation and evaluation of the service requested.
    • Reviews customers’ scheduled services and answers all customers’ questions about what they will be receiving during their visit
    • Process any and all sales and scheduling transactions for customers
    • Maintain complete knowledge of all services presently offered and all products offered or used in the spa
    • Assist in product dispersal/conservation and upkeep of product dispensaries
    • Actively promote the spa by engaging with guests, handing out spa menus/promotional materials, and/or performing services as part of community outreach promotions as scheduled.
    • Drive service and retail awareness through customer interactions and in support of identified promotions and events.
    • Maintains treatment areas daily to company standards, including all counters, mirrors, product containers, laundry, linens, carts, and contributes to the general spa maintenance and upkeep of the facility
    • Demonstrates a friendly and welcoming personality with refinement and character
    • Present yourself as clean and professional, wearing the designated staff uniform during all work shifts
  •  Productive Time (Service Delivery)
    • Perform various services in the areas of esthetics and massage for customers.
    • Deliver subject-specific training as scheduled in the areas of various services and techniques, sanitation, product knowledge, and spa protocol
    • Manage Customer records, documentation, and SOAP Notes in the MangoMint platform
    • Know all contraindications for services and products offered by the spa and refer conditions that are other than healthy to the appropriate professional
    • Properly open and close the spa each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Accurately book, change, and cancel spa appointments.
    • Provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, facility features, and hours of operation.
    • Maintain the spa register through proper open, pre-close, and close procedures, and communicate any discrepancies to management.
    • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
    • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
    • Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized work area.

Careers – Massage Therapist

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be on time for your shift.
  • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves spa facilities.
  • Answer the phone promptly and use the guest’s name throughout the phone conversation.
  • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests.
  • Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Must have completed a minimum of 650 hours of training from a Massachusetts State-accredited school or training program in Massage Therapy
  • Maintain current Massage Therapy license from the State of Massachusetts
  • Maintain professional liability insurance, identifying PRIMORA SPA as additionally insured
  • Maintain current licenses and/or certificates in CPR, CIBTAC, ITEC
  • Current certifications in all specialized techniques that will be offered through the spa
